Taste the Terroir Tour 2017

Taste the Terroir Tour
Saturday, June 3, 2017

This year, the OAEP wine tour will return to the Newberg area to visit three excellent wineries : Arborbrook Winery, Brickhouse Winery, and Willakenzie Winery

Dr. Scott Burns, Emeritus Professor of Geology at Portland State University, a long-standing OAEP Board Member, and our resident Terroirist will host the annual tour.  Terroir is a French term used to describe the relationship between geology, soils, climate and the differences in wines.  It is a taste of the place.  Dr. Burns has been studying terroir since the 1970s.
